Statistics from the National Bureau of Statistics show that from January to June 2013, garment enterprises above designated size in Guangdong Province completed a total of 2.578 billion garments, accounting for 20.70% of the country's total, an increase of 0.28% year-on-year, and still maintaining the country’s largest garment production province. status. In terms of exports, Guangdong apparel showed an upward trend year-on-year. In addition, in the first half of this year, the profit rate of the textile and apparel industry in the country dropped significantly, but the profit rate of Guangdong's textile and clothing industry achieved a 4.26% increase.

“The era of growth in the number of apparel industries has basically come to an end. The era of major outbreaks in the mid-to-late 1990s is over.” Liu Yueping, chairman of the Guangdong Clothing Apparel Industry Association, told the reporter of the Yangcheng Evening News that the future development of the clothing industry in Guangdong The trend is still showing a steady upward trend, but the overall situation of the garment industry in Guangdong is facing structural adjustment and upgrading.
