The Census and Statistics Department of Hong Kong issued an announcement that the 2015 Consumer Price Index, based on the relevant Composite Consumer Price Index, showed that the overall consumer price this year showed an upward trend compared with the previous year, removing all the impact of one-off measures of the Hong Kong government and comprehensive consumption. The increase in the price index this year is mainly due to the increase in the price of fresh vegetables.
The Composite Consumer Price Index rose month-on-month, women's clothing prices rose, wages for domestic workers and service charges for out-patient services rose, resulting in a monthly increase in clothing, household equipment and supplies, and the medical price index. The rebound in LPG prices also led to a monthly increase in the Composite Consumer Price Index (CPI), another reduction in the prices of imitation cotton, vegetables and fresh seafood, and the increase in non-alcoholic beverages.
On the other hand, the categories of prices for year-on-year decreases in durable goods and clothing, and footwear have all fallen, so that in terms of traffic, the Composite Consumer Price Index remained unchanged compared to the previous year, but Consumer Price A was the same.
